Installation and Operation Manual

SETTING and ACTIVATING ALARM
NOTE: The VE640 must be turned “OFF” when performing the following procedure.
1) Press the SET button (1) twice to enter the alarm mode. The five LED indicators (2) on either
side of the LCD-Display will begin flashing. A preset time will be displayed with the minutes
portion blinking (Alarm ACTIVATED mode).
NOTE: If a series of dashes appear (- - : - - , Alarm DEACTIVATED mode) press the SEEK UP
button
(3) once to switch to the Alarm ACTIVATED mode.
2) Press the CHANNEL up/down buttons (4) to set the desired hour/minute. When setting the hour
check the AM/PM indicator (6) to assure the proper setting.
3) Press the VOLUME up/down buttons (5) to toggle between the hours and the minutes
4) Press the SET button (1) three times to return to the time display on the LCD panel. The alarm
is now set and activated.
The purpose of this Addendum is to replace the “SETTING ALARM” procedure found in the Operation
section of the VE-640 Operation and Installation Manual (Pg. 13).
DEACTIVATING ALARM
1) Press the SET button (1) twice to enter the alarm mode.
2) Press the SEEK UP
button (3) once. The set time will disappear from the LCD-Display and a
series of dashes will appear (- - : - - , Alarm DEACTIVATED mode).
3) Press the SET button three times to return to the time display on the LCD panel. The alarm is
now deactivated.
NOTE: The set time will be stored in memory and can be reactivated whenever desired by performing
steps 1-3 of the DEACTIVATING ALARM procedure.
Once the alarm is set it will sound each day at the same time as long as it is activated. To deactivate the alarm
perform the following procedure.
