Trouble Shooting Guide For
Mark III Custom Security Systems

PIN # FUNCTION CORRECT VOLT/ OHM READING
1 Valet Switch
Position 1 - Very low (near zero) ohm reading - indi-
cates continuity to ground
Position 2 - Infinite ohm reading - indicates open to
ground
* The valet switch should be in position 2 for normal
security operation.
2 Door Pin Switch
Door closed - 12 volts
Door open - 0 volts
3 Automatic Door Lock
Brake pedal NOT depressed - 0 volts
Brake pedal depressed - 12 volts
4 Accessory Power
Key off - 0 volts
Key on - 12 volts
7 Ground
At ALL times - near zero ohm reading
8 Door Lock
Use test jumper - connect to ground, touch pin, door
should lock
9 Door Unlock
Use test jumper - connect to ground, touch pin, door
should unlock
10 Constant 12 Volts
At ALL times - 12 volts
11 Horn
Horn NOT depressed - infinite ohms reading
Horn depressed - very low (near zero) ohm read-
ing
14 Parking Lights Parking lights off - 0 volts
Parking Lights on - 12 volts
